Back is stamped "Guaranteed Close Bark Willow, S.A.SPIRES LTE, Kingston, Ontario THAI". Samuel John Everett "Sam" Loxton (1921-2011) was a famous Australian cricket batsman and politician. He played for the cricket Australian team from 1948 to 1951 during which the team was undefeated. This cricket bat is in played with condition and shows age, however it is still very sturdy.
