    1929 Old Montreal Book with Charles Simpson Drawings, WWII, Newlyn School
    Remarkable condition. This is a first and limited edition from 1929. 17 beautiful pen and pencil drawings by Charles Walter Simpson. He is one of the first official war artists in WWII and is an artist from the 1920' Newlyn School. The book measures 6 X 9", was written by Victor Morin and published by Canadian Pacific Railways in 1929.
    It describes the main monuments and attractions in the city of Montreal (Quebec, Canada) in the 1920's: Chateau Ramezay, Notre Dame Church, Bonsecours Market, Hotel Place Viger, McGill University, Dominion Square, Sherbrooke Street and more.
