    WWI 1914 Brass Shell Desk Lamps 13" Trench Art, Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe Germany

    Excellent condition, matching pair, ready to plug in. Polished and rewired, These are authentic brass shells from WWI engraved by the 29th Vancouver Battalion known as CEF (Canadian Expeditionary Force). Bottom of one shell is marked "1915 Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe MRZ 3" with a crown stamp "Ke 11". The other one is marked "AWS 20 DEBR 1892 AW37". Both shells have the same hand engraved art: A crown, beaver, emblem of the Medical Corp, a snake and several leaves. Markings on both are: "August 4th 1914 - November 11th 1918, Overseas Canada Vancouver XXIX Battalion, Canadian Medical Corps." Bottom and top are wood and original, body is brass. Lamps are 13" inches tall each without light bulbs and support up to 250 watts. Shells have a 2.5 inches diameter. Light bulbs in the photo are included.
