    Near mint condition, complete, pages still white as if never opened. Large book 6 1/2 X 9 1/2 inches. Written in French. Stamped with the beaver coat-of-arms Concordia Salus. This is the Charter of the City of Montreal adopted in 1898 and approved by the Lieutenant Governor or the Province of Quebec L.-A. Jetté in 1899. This 1942 edition is a compilation of all modifications adopted until May 29th 1942. Fascinating rules regarding buying votes, corruption and crime which still resonate today.
